What exactly does the $199 reconnection include?
A service of your existing alarm, a new 4G cellular communicator and a replacement panel backup battery – parts and labour included – plus connection to our monitoring centre. Monthly monitoring from $35 + GST applies after connection.
My alarm started beeping and the app stopped working. Why?
That is the classic sign of the 3G network shutdown – your alarm’s communicator can no longer reach the network, so it cannot report activations and complains about the fault. The panel itself is usually fine; it just needs a 4G module.
Can you take over monitoring from my current provider?
Yes. We handle the changeover – you simply cancel your old payment authority once we confirm your alarm is reporting to us. Most switches are completed within a couple of days.
My alarm is 15-20 years old. Can it still be monitored?
Often yes – many older panels can be serviced and fitted with a 4G communicator. If a panel is too old to be reliable, we will tell you straight and quote a replacement instead, so you are not paying to patch something at the end of its life.
Which alarm brands can you reconnect?
Nearly all of them: Paradox, Bosch, DSC, Arrowhead, Risco, Micron and most other brands sold in New Zealand. If you are not sure what you have, text us a photo of the panel and keypad.
Am I locked into a monitoring contract afterwards?
No. Monitoring is month-to-month from $35 + GST with one month’s notice to cancel – unlike some providers, there is no fixed term.
